The Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is traditionally celebrated on the 1st of November and the 2nd of November. It’s time to remember lost loved ones and celebrate life with parades and parties. The holiday has captured the attention of companies like Mattel with its annual Barfbie releases, Funko with Día de Muertos DC Pop characters, and Disney with items like This Mickey Mouse Sugar Skull Backpack. Now Fisher-Price is putting her own spin on tradition with the new Little People Collector.

This could be the Día de Muertos collection from Fisher-Price Little People Order here on Amazon for $19.99. It is in stock and shipping now. Fisher-Price highlighted the traditions they intended to capture in the official description below.

Decorated with calaveras (skulls) and lifelike cempasúchiles (marigolds), the group includes three 2.5-inch people dressed in traditional ceremonial costume:

  • A woman wears a traditional ruffled dress and cempasúchils, also known as “flowers of the dead,” whose fragrance is said to guide spirits to their altar and waiting families.
  • A man wears a sombrero and a guitar, as musicians have been known to play the guitar throughout the tombs to enrich the dead.
  • Calcas Farah (skeleton), a prominent symbol of Día de Muertos with a specially designed skull.
  • Papel Picado in bright colors surrounds the three-tiered entrance, which is decorated with traditional and symbolic elements from Dia de Muertos, including candles and incense to guide spirits into the home. Pan de Muerto was left as offerings on the altar.”

Iconic Little People games from Fisher-Price have been updated with a selection of special edition characters featuring pop culture themes. Little People Collector sets based on The Office, The Lord of the Rings, and Ted Lasso are just a few of the popular topics they’ve taken up with these adorable little characters in recent years.
